Fukuchiyama Castle (Folk Museum)

Fukuchiyama Castle is associated with the warring states period general Akechi Mitsuhide, and was reconstructed in 1986. The castle is also used as a folk museum.

Exhibits artwork with a focus on Japanese paintings by the artist Taisei Sato who is from Fukuchiyama City and is a recipient of the Order of Culture.

Fukuchiyama Railway Museum Popo Land

Exhibits a 150:1 scale model (N gauge) of JR Fukuchiyama Station, the drive wheels of the C57‐ 93 steam locomotive, and other valuable materials.

Chisui Kinenkan Flood Memorial Hall

This facility uses a merchant's house facing the Kyokaido (Kyo Highway) which was built in 1880 in an area of the castle town and introduces flood control history and the knowledge and innovations of our predecessors in preparing for and defending against flooding.
